On 17 April, Kish was under escort by Zinnia, but Zinnia was sent to the assistance of Cairnhill which was under attack by U55. In the absence of the escort U67 came up and sank Kish, Zinnia turned back to assist but arrived too late. U55 sank Cairnhill.
