To whom it may concern:
Some time ago I heard a modeler speak of how there are those who used to gather with others to have "model warfare"! Apparently, there was one gentleman who had gone so far as to build a remote controlled sub that could actually submerge and fire torpedoes! There was another guy who had an enormous aircraft carrier with the appropriate aircraft aboard, and others with their various support vessels. Is there anywhere today where such contests take place? I'm not even sure if I heard the truth...after all , what modeler would risk the loss of something they prized to highly?
Sincerely,
Les
