Type XX1 Hulls

Hi guy's;
Does any one know if the type XX1 had a fully welded hull or were there rivets used? i know that the boats were made in sections and assembled at the yard, by welding? or bolting? the sections together. i kneed this info so i can add the detail on to my models hull. thanks
