My background is as an architectural model builder. I have built approx. 250 scratchbuilt models of buildings, sites, aircraft etc. However I have never built a ship/boat model of any real size. I would like to build a 1/32 Type VII U-Boat. I have plans I aquired from the "floating dry dock" and am converting them to the proper scale. My question is this after the bulkheads are in place and the basic shape is there, what do most folks "cover" the hulls with? I'd like to leave the possibility of setting it up for R/C but that may not happen. I don't care to buy a pre-fab hull and decorate it.
Thank you,
PC
