I just got myself the "Vom Original zum Modell". To read the lines plan schouldn´t be the problem as I have already build a paper u-boat from similar plans (although far less detailed ones).
Looking at the book I found that Schaffer offers a kit that looks almost exactly like the one I plan to build. I´ll have a look at it and see, what it costs, although building one myself will be much more fun. Are there any experiences with that Schaffer model??
