I was thinking about my reply yesterday and tho it wasn\'t meant to be rude ,because I didn\'t put in a smiley face ( :-) it would have appeared to be so! For that you all DO get an apology !!
For all the novices and newbies out their ( I am still one after 5-7years and 3 own built subs )Yes it is MUCH more difficult to build everything yourself and takes a lot longer as well and also a bit more expensive in the long run.To build your own sub IS very satisfying, especially if everything works well.
I build my own ones because I don\'t have a lot of money I can spend in one hit and the freight to New Zealand almost equalls the cost of the initial sub kit.I did start off my bating BY getting a small kit and that got me on the water fast and kept my enthusiasm up while I built another boat. The same can apply for a sub. Get a kit build it up and sail it, then you can take as long as you like to build your own if that is what you want .
So again if I ruffled some feathers , it was not meant in that way and I apologise.
