Beware of the Hull: Maybe I was a fool for trying-no being a pro at building models.
My mistake was detailing the Hull. One side turned out great, the other side did not match. I used modeling knifes and small hand held drill bits. The biggest problem as you noted was the poor fitting of bulkheads and I did not trim mine and discovered the problem after glueing.

Good luck and I hope you get help through the net. When I was trying to build mine I did not know about this site and did not know who to ask. Let me know how things turn out.
