Dear Joe,

I'm building ( when I recieve the hull that is) U-123 also but in 32 scale. I can confirm that U-123 had a splinter pattern during operation "Paukenslag". The boat returned from "Paukenslag-1" the 9th of february 1942 sinking 10 ships. From 2 march until 2 may 1942 it went back for "Paukenslag-2" sinking 11 ships. It has the splinter pattern also in the month of june 1941.
I'm sorry to say that I don't know any sites to confirm this on the net.
