In Jeff Herne's article on building and altering Amati's 1:72 u boat kit, he mentions that "replacing the elevation wheels with photoetched parts." I did not take me very long at all in the building process to become unsatisifed with the flat, two dimensional quality of the railings and other similar parts in this kit. I was wondering whether one scratch builds these hand wheels, or whether one purchases them. In the event one photo-etches these parts yourself, it may interest you to know that I am wholly unfamiliar with how one might photo-ethc parts like that. Is there an articule or other resource avaialbe that might intstruct me how to do this?
