bunkers, sub models

Hi - I'm new to this forum and can't believe I missed it. I have two questions: first, can anyone provide input on what the tops of the main bunkers in Brest or LaRochelle (or any of them) looked like? I'm trying to build a diorama. Were there gun emplacements? Second, what is the best (if any) Type VII model available? I have the Doyusha and Academy versions, as yet unbuilt; understand the latter requires much modification. Are there any others? Anything in resin?Building in this scale to use N-guage buildings and figures. Appreciate input.
