1:1 scale model!

Hi! I am currently building a set for a low budget film, the set being the control room of a Soviet S Class submarine in ww2.
Info on ww2 Soviet boats is very thin on the ground, I have some excellent Russian language books, but the photos are consistantly poor!
I know the S class boats were almost copied from German U boats of ww1 vintage.
So.. does anyone know the dimensions of a U boat control room! (preferably in metric measurements.
I can outfit the room from the photos, but the size is unclear due to the shoddy Soviet picture quality, and bad light inside a sub.
