DearRichard,

It depends on what damage they took.
On sea first priority was to keep the boat a float.
Damage to the outerhull was of no importance, damage to the pipes,valves and machinery between the hulls were of much more importants and of course damage to the pressure hull.

In general they did everything possible to keep the boat in best working order.
Damage to the outerhull hhave to wait untill back in harbour.
