Hi Greg,

Oz too - Adelaide. U 552 is pretty well-known, there is a decent amount of reference material. I suggest the classics like Squadron's U-Boats booklet, and this site. The 55X series had a few -not peculiarities - but set of things common like a longer slot on starboard and certain vent and flod patterns. I'm building U 557, don't know if my build would eb any help, but have a look at:
