Saskia, you can try www.micromark.com, they specialize in small tools but they also sell paints. Try the Floquil "Rust", # 60132, that's what I use, there is also a product called RUSTALL.
The way to go is dilute the paint very thin and with a small brush touch the surface, the mixture will run down like real rust, you can go a few times until you get the result you desire. Remember the thinning is the trick, the more ,the more subtle the effect, the less the heavier. You could also try with your airbrush. Experiment on a paper or other surface until you get the touch.

By the way I live in Caracas, Venezuela and hobby materials are hard to find so you have to improvise
