Hello,
I working on an exhibit for a museum in Canada. They have a model of a U-Boat, supposed to be a Type 1X. The model is painted entirely in black. I would like to use the model in the display, but am not sure U-Boats were painted entirely black during the war. I thought a grey upper surface with black lower parts was more common. Any clarification on this would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
