Uniforms

I have seen pictures of U-boat Commanders ina a service uniform wich looks a lot like the HBT uniform that where used by the German army. Does anyone have some information about those uniforms?

I have also seen a picture of Otto Kretschmer when he recives his Knigths Cross and he wears a uniform that looks like the english battle uniform.

Can anyone help me?
