Bow Outline

Below are 3 different outlines of the bows for the Type VIIC’s. They are:

Red line – The original Type VIIC bow without the Atlantic bow.
Green line – A Type VIIC with a modify Atlantic bow. You can see the additional 180 mm in height and 280 mm in length. The outline returns back to the original deck line at Frame 104.
Purple line – I have always consider that the deck line for the Type VIIC/41, taper back to Frame 79.1 where the deck line angle off to the bow.


Question: Which do people think is the correct bow outline for a Type VIIC/41? Does it taper back to??

A: Frame 79.1 (which was the end of the flat deck).

B: Frame 104, the same as the modify Type VIIC with the Atlantic bow.
