Type VIIC Ammo Storage

I am trying to build a Revell 1/72 Type VIIC with complete interior. CMK does not make a kit for the Officer's Quarters/Radio/Sound Compartment or the Aft Torpedo/Electric Motor Compartment (and the rest need some improvement). Can anyone tell me how the 88mm Deck Gun Ammo Cases are stored underneath the Radio Room. Are the cases standing up or laid down? If laid down, how are they oriented - fore and aft or athwartships?
