Merchandising Rights?

Does anyone know if there are merchandising rights involved if a kit is made of say...the U-505 or U-995? Monogram has what is loosly termed a kit of the 505 and I wonder if they have to pay royalties to the Museum of Science and Industry in Chicago. Herr Bruns, if your type IX kit carried the name U-505 would you have had to pay royalties? I\'m not a lawyer..or a kit manufacturer, but I am just currious if this might be some sort of deterent or explaination as to why there aren\'t more or better kits available of the two (U-505 and U-995) best subs availible for research. Thanks in advance for your responses.
