During WWII the British Admiralty issued monthly "Submarine reports" . These contained details of the disposition of U-Boats and tactical intelligence. These, although issued primarily for the use of surface vessel commanders do contain discussions of submarine tactics when under attack.

The reports are held at the UK public records office in Kew (Near London) and at the Naval Historical branch, in London.
