Heating the interior of the Boat

At the risk of asking too broad of a question, how were the U-boats heated for crew comfort? I realize that each model may have had different systems for accomplishing this. Also, I don't believe air condtioning (cooling) was available, or was it? Thanks in advance for any replies.
