My deceased father served on S-boats in late WWII. A good look at S Boats' ops can be had in Bill Ruhe's book : War in the Boats. I can be contacted outside the U-Boat net. At rthomas@jacksonville.edu Regretfully It will be a month before I am free to answer any questions.
