Derek,
Are you sure that the VII had voice tubes? I would think that the tubes would have a ball valve of some sort to withstand test pressure when the boat went deep. Just pluging the ends wouldn\"t do it. I readlly don\'t know. Maybe something else could has some ideas about this issue.
