Hi Dave,
1) A total of 5, 3 in tubes and 2 reloads. Theorhetically they could squeeze a sixth in on the center line on the floorboards, but that would have made living conditions all but impossible.
2) Kiel Canal (99km long) transit abt 9hrs, speed limited to abt. 7kn to keep bank erosion to a minimum. Rgds, RB
