Tarafal Bay, Santo Antao island in the Cape Verde Islands. Three U-boats were to meet. U-111(Kleinschmidt), U-68 (Merten) and U-67 (Muller-Stockheim). The meeting was arranged as a resupply and the transfer of a sick seaman. The attack makes interesting reading as chaos ensued. U-111 and U-68 were leaving the bay when they sighted Clyde. All three boats were dived in the bay looking for each other when U-67 arrived on the scene. More chaos!
