Hi Ludovic,
These symbols have nothing to do with those the crew painted on their boats. They are embossed on flaps (sometimes painted in a contrasting darker grey/black) and indicate hose connection points for compressed air, oxygen, and other shore side connections for electricity drinking water etc.
Specifically, cross in square = emergency compressed air
Cross in circle = interior air supply (stbd) as well as interior air venting outside (port). Rgds, RB
