Please correct your numbers to the foll:
VIIc VIIc/41
design depth = 100m 120m
test depth = 165m 200m
calc. crush d.= 250m 300m
Please note, that above crush depth is theoretical and A. Niestle, one source for above figures, correctly pointed out postwar research putting the crush depth of the VIIc at at least 280m.
On purpose I did not give any numbers for type VIIc/42, since none were completed and all pending orders cancelled Nov.'43 to free up yard space for the XXI and XXIII building programs.
The pressure vsl plating of the VIIc/41 was max. 20.5mm. Your source must have rounded up this figure. Rgds, RB
