German Ranks and Technical grades

Hi all,

I was wondering about the make up of the 'average' U-Boat crew (knowing that there is actually no such thing as an 'average' crew but however). I was reading Martin Middlebrook's book 'Convoy' and it lists the crew of U384 which was sunk by allied aircraft during the battles arround convoys SC122 and HX229. My question is this:

For the supplied German ranks/technical grades, can someone supply me with the equivelent American/British ranks/technical grades.
