Thanks, Scott, could you refresh my memory as to when that report was prepared? 46/47? Or later, when building the Tang-class?
Am asking in particular reference to the conclusion. After all, is not the prime purpose of a sub's hull construction to withstand the pressures of the deep? I do not suppose that the authors thought that American boats could dive deeper than the German ones being examined. Any comments? Rgds, RB
