Locks for protecting the ENIGMA

Hi all you U-boat experts out there,


does anybody know whether the ENIGMA code machines on the U-boats were
protected by a special lock called "TANGENTIAL" ? It has got an unusual
4-bitted key and was made by BODE-PANZER in Hannover. Pictures of
such a lock from my collection are available upon request.
I would very much appreciate any information on this !!
