Hi, in the American analysis of U-234 which was conducted in Portsmouth it reads that the "GHG (was) changed to Balkon type", meaning this Type XB boat had the regular arrangement of hydrophones above both frontal depth planes and later the Balkongerät.
I would love to find plans or photos of how this was attached to the bow of U-234 (seems there were "individual approaches" for the different boat types), especially considering how the bow of the XB boats were shaped a bit differently from other boats.
Any help anyone?
