Ken,

So at the risk of being one 'fish' short of a compliment does that imply the limiting factor was fuel rather than stores?

You see at the risk of being perverse one could work out a fuel consumption with a proviso of not exceeding say 5kts and no doubt you would be at sea for yonks but I am darn sure your supplies would have run out first unless human consumption was to be curtailed too ! Slow speed = low food consumption :-).

What I suppose I am really trying to get at here is there must be a designed stores consumption say x kg/man/day, the boat can carry z kgs therefore the consumption multiplied by the number of crew is divided into the stores capacity and that = endurance before some element of re-supply. I might have guessed 45 to 60 days but thats a hunch.
