Thank you Vidar.

That's enough to convince me.

If your Kobben wasn't required to display lighting in a different way than a surface ship would, I'll make the leap and presume the same applied to U-Boats.
I suppose I really should have made the assumption that the rules would have been the same; maritime rules rarely seem to change much over the decades.

I'll go with white for the upper (tower) lantern and and also for the lower stern lantern then, although I'm not certain I will be able to impose the angle-of-visibility restrictions defined. I'll give it a try though. As for the top lantern, there really isn't one unless they did the same thing you did... given the few occasions when they would use these lights at all.
