Minimum/Maximum U-Boat crews

Could I pose a theoretical question on IXD2 class U Boat crewing. If it was planned to scuttle a boat of this class at a predetermined site, what would be the minimum crew needed to take the boat to be sunk to that location and what would be the maximum extra hands the rescue boat of the same class could take on board for the return voyage. Lets assume a round trip of 4 weeks at sea and that the boat to be scuttled had no intention of engaging any enemy.
