U.S. copy of Germany's electric torpedo

Hello all:

When the Allies captured some battery-powered torpedoes, they immediately had
Westinghouse Corporation at Sharon, PA copy one. In about 15 months, a Mark 18
battery-powered torpedo for submarines was born.
