A photo of the 2.5 characters/sec military "Field" Hellschreiber is here:

The 5 char/sec "Presse Hell" Hellschreiber is a shoebox size printer-only model, used by news agencies worldwide 1934-1950. It was definitely used on-board Kriegsarine ships. A photo of this model is here:
