Welding in ww1 subs

Hi..Im new to the forum and would like confirmation that the pressure hulls of ww1 u boats were welded.I cant seem to find any information online to confirm.
Welding certainly existed in ww1 and it seems important to acknowledge that one of the first uses was the pressure hull on a sub...Please give links to confirming sources if possible...thanks,bob.
