I have collected 100's of u-boat books some still in print many out, some german, most english...You will find that the technical info is very spreadd out over many books and then completes a whole. Few purely original tech manuals ecist except maybe in countries work dept. archives as they studied the captured u-boats to get the technology..visiting the actual remaining u-boats & ww2 subs in general is invaluable in putting it all together as well. It is quite amazing how advanced these war machines were for the time.The american subs were like cruise ships compared to other navies.
