Type IX U-boat and conning towers

Hello, I am aware of articles and documentation detailing the different conning tower configurations fitted to Type VII U-boats, Turm 1 through 7 I believe. Were there different conning tower/AA weaponry configurations fitted to the Type IX U-boat as well? How many, and were they similarly designated as in the Type VII U-boat?
