Mousetrap and Squid Patterns

Ok, I know that the squid launched one or two trios of dc's, arranged in a triangular pattern 37m a side. But how was the triangle oriented - point towards ship, or what? I am curious, as I don't have photos of the system and can't judge the individual barrels orientation.

Also, what did the mousetrap pattern looked like? Line? "circle"? square?
