<HTML>Hi Woody,
I can?t speak for the current tour, but I took it in the late 60?s as a little kid.
I hate to use a horribly over-used word, but it was AWESOME!!
My Dad and I crawled all over the ship for about five hours, and as far as I was concerned, just scratched the surface.
I don?t think we were allowed access to the engine room, be were given free run of just about every other space and deck.
I spent a great deal of time inside one of the main gun turrets, and was able to use its periscope (Looked just like a submarine periscope) to survey the surrounding area.
Also had a great deal of fun playing in one of the 40mm Bofors mounts.
I think it?s time I went back.</HTML>
