Point of information, "Inch Arran" is not an alternative name for Dalhousie, NB but a name of a neighbourhood in the town. It was named by a Scottish settler from the Isle of Arran, Scotland, and apparently "inch" is an older style of writing a gaelic word that could mean isle, headland, or a little bit of land. It is said that the view there of the mountains on the Gaspe across the Baie des Chaleurs reminded him of home.
