My father was on HMS Cornwall when she sank in 1942.
His name was Harry Prebble and was a CPO in one of
the boiler rooms ,I am glad to say he was one of
those that were picked up.
He passed away in 1989, but I still remember the
stories he told me of his time in the Navy.
I hope this may be of some interest to you.
