On 27th August 1943, she sunk the enemy merchantman S.S. HAVBIS II.
On 15th October 1943 the British submarine missed U 616 with a torpedo off Toulon.
On14th December 1943 she sunk the S.S. NETZENDER in Monaco Harbour.
Two torpedoes were fired from UNTIRING, which were aimed at a German minelayer loading up with torpedoes in Monaco harbour. The explosions that followed virtually blew out every window in Monte Carlo.
On 17th December 1943 the British submarine sank two enemy coasters loaded with ammunition off Toulon.
UNTIRING dived deep to avoid enemy detection, however, when she surfaced to periscope depth half an hour later, the escorts were still waiting for her. The boat crash dived immediately, but was subjected to a barrage of 300 depth charges exploding around her. Extensive damage was caused to the boat, however she managed to escape detection beneath a thermal layer. Don Wilson, second-in-command of UNTIRING, was awarded the Distinguished Service Cross for “his courage, skill and devotion to dutyâ€. Then following a course for ‘officer in command’ in May 1945, he was promoted to lieutenant and went on to command HM s/m VORACIOUS.
UNTIRING sank an ‘F’ boat near Rapallo on 6th January 1944.
On the 31st January 1944, the two coasters JEAN SUZAN and ST. ANTOINE were sunk, under heavy escort, southeast of Drammont.
On 11th April 1944 the ENSEIGNE was torpedoed and sunk off Cannes
The 1198-ton S.S. CERERE was sunk on 12th April 1944; also torpedoed and sunk that afternoon, was the 1190-ton S.S. MAID OF SAMOS off Oneglia.
UNTIRING torpedoed and sunk the S.S. CLAREVOYANT on 27th April 1944.
On 1st May 1944, the S.S. SIENNA was sent to the bottom with a torpedo off Port Vendres.
Off Ciatot on 10th June 1944 she also sank S.S. LA HAVRAISE
In November 1944 UNTIRING returned to the U.K. for a refit on the Tyne.
