HMCS Kincardine (formerly HMS Tamworth Castle) was a Castle Class Corvette and although manufactured in the UK it was transferred after launch to the Royal Canadian Navy. The ship had a short life as a warship between June 1944 and February 1946 so the photo would have been taken within these two years. In 1947 Kincardine became the Moroccan merchant ship Saada. Photos of the ship may be obtained from the Imperial War Museum photo collection at www.iwm.org.uk/collections
