HMS Comorin was sailing from Clyde to Sierra Leone, but caught fire in heavy weather in the North Atlantic (6 April 1941). My father was a naval passenger on the way to his posting - he was one of those 20 who were lost. National Archives at Kew have the original of the detailed Admiralty Report following investigation of the fire and sinking.
