Submarine chaser 983

According to the separation notice my dad was a radarman on Submarine Chaser 983 sometime between 3/1944 and 3/1946. He died many years ago and my brothers and I are trying to locate fellow crew members who may have known him. If anyone has information about this ship could they please contact me? Thank you.
