Hello Nick,
My source of information is the VA(S) War Diaries (Horton) located at the National Archives (London) in ADM199/373.
You may find something on the number of survivors in the submarine's log which is in ADM173/16564, I suppose she would have picked up any survivor. SUNFISH left on patrol on the next day but there is no mention of this incident in her patrol report. You may also try the C. in C. Rosyth War Diaries located in either ADM199/362 (1939-1940) or 363 (1940-1941). Keep me posted on your findings.
Best of luck,
Platon
