USS Y.M.S. - 71, Crew Members of 1944

I am seeking information on Ship's Cook 3rd Class, USN, Everette E. Young. This is for his sister. I found out the ship wass sunk April 3rd, 1945 off Boreo. He however, was killed Oct.25th, 1944.

I was looking for information regaurding that time frame, and details of happened when he was killed, not the date it was sunk. However any info on the sinking would be welcome as well. Thank you.
