Hi Bruce,
range for the German G7e was 5,000 m @ 30 kn, it was used by S-boote starting in 1942. Before that they were firing G7a T1 with ranges of 6000/44, 8000/40 or 14000/30 (all metric measurements.
The british MTB torpedoes (18") had a range of 1500 yds @ 40 kn, or 3000/27
When available, the MTBs were supplied with 21" weapons, generally the Mk VIII**, with a range of 5000/45.5 or 7000/41 (imperial measurements).
